We have an initially temporary (Days) role available within Aggregate Industries Torr Quarry site. This role is ideal for someone with a valid Counterbalance License and the clamp tickets including experience and considers themselves to be punctual, reliable and proactive.

Role: Counterbalance Fork Lift Operative

Location: Torr Quarry, Somerset, BA4 4RA

Rate: £13.56 per hour

Contract length: Rolling Contract

Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday - 6am to 3pm

Opportunity for overtime is also available and successful applicants should be open to this if needed

Responsibilities:

  • Operation of mobile plant machinery
  • Operation of fixed plant machinery
  • Dispatching and controlling the quality of product
  • Carry out daily plant inspections
  • Inspection & Completion of Plant routines
  • Execution of other reasonable requests

Essential requirements:

  • Previous experience on a Counterbalance Fork Lift
  • Previous experience within a Warehouse/ Construction Environment
  • Physical Fitness as role will include physical exertion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adhere to early starts
  • Flexibility towards overtime
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
