Altrad is a market-leading provider of products and services to the energy, industrial and petrochemical sectors. Our Nuclear Business is involved in several key frameworks across the UK that all have unique resourcing challenges in a buoyant and competitive market. As a result, we are looking for an experienced recruitment professional who will partner with our hiring managers to attract and recruit the talent we need to deliver our major projects.


The role

You won’t be surprised to hear that this job will be extremely varied, but as a Recruiter you’ll be used to that. You’ll work closely with hiring managers to understand their projects and specific challenges and how that translates into their hiring needs. You will then use this knowledge to articulate our offering to candidates in the external market through advertising, recruitment marketing and, of course, the countless conversations you will be having with potential employees.

You’ll use traditional recruitment methods to attract candidates but will also enjoy using a proactive approach to market map, create talent pools and pipelines based on medium/long term project requirements. The use of data will also be an important part of your role as you will produce and present recruitment metrics that will help you analyse and understand market challenges and their potential solutions.


The ideal person

You will come with solid Recruitment experience (agency or internal) and will ideally have experience in both transactional recruitment and pro-active talent sourcing. It goes without saying but communication skills are key as you will be required to build strong relationships with candidates and your internal stakeholders. Having a creative side will also be a bonus as you will have the opportunity to lead on external recruitment marketing and social media campaigns.

The roles you will work on will predominantly be white collar construction/ engineering related so having exposure to this sector would be a great. However, having an inquisitive approach and the ability to learn and adapt is more important.


It will be important for you to embed yourself in our projects and spend time with your stakeholders, so ideally you will be based in Cumbria or Warrington. However, if you are based elsewhere and would be happy to travel, we would still like to hear from you. You'll also be expected to undergo screening to obtain a P4 nuclear pass.
