Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a small team dealing with litigation issues relating to Service Families Accommodation (SFA). You will manage a diverse team who manage casework relating to loss of entitlement to live in SFA, including acting as the decision maker for pursuing legal action to obtain possession or enforcement action.� The team are also responsible for recovering rental receipts and ensuring there is effective and early management of debt in consultation with Defence Business Services. You will also support your line manager in collating information to support housing disrepair claims.

We are seeking a confident, dynamic individual with experience of leading teams that deliver a high-quality service that meets the needs of it is customers and stakeholders and an ability to build collaborative relationships.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.�


Job description

Leading on legal claims for possession. Working with legal representatives and ensuring the protocol deadlines are adhered to.Working with teams across the Accommodation Directorate to understand the demand signal for SFA from entitled Service Personnel.Working with senior managers to manage cases effectively including engagement with DIO Comms and Parliamentary to ensure high-profile cases are identified and reported on appropriately. Advising on novel or contentious casework and submitting recommendations regarding any enforcement action.Financial forecasting.Monitor payment arrears monthly to ensure legal action is prioritised.Engagement with DBS to minimise debt and maximise recovery.Maintaining a register of all ongoing housing disrepair cases.Collation of documentation from DIO Accommodation teams and Industry Suppliers to support legal cases.Line Management.

Your team is split across two locations at RAF Wyton and RAF Honington and weekly attendance at each site is required.� Travel to other locations may also be required.

To be successful in the role it is essential to be able to prioritise effectively. The range of activities are diverse, and it is necessary to be on top of several different areas of work at the same time.
