We are a well-established ICT support service and have an exciting opportunity available for a MIS (Management Information Software) Technician to join our friendly and professional School ICT Service Desk team.

We have been providing MIS support to schools and academies across Nottinghamshire and neighbouring counties for over 30 years. Our aim is to ensure that our schools and academies achieve the most effective use and best value for money from their SIMS, FMS, ScholarPack or Arbor MIS products.

About the Role:

The Schools MIS Technician role resolves incoming queries from customers via telephone, email and web chat. Remote tools are used to support schools with their school MIS systems. Building and maintaining relationships with schools, 3rd party MIS providers and local IT support engineers is a key part of the role. The team environment is positive, friendly and has a proactive can-do attitude.

You will need to be self-motivated, have effective problem-solving abilities, excellent customer service skills and work well as part of a busy team.

You will ideally have experience of:

Infrastructure technologies such as Servers, Communications and Operating Systems MS Product Set (Server, SQL and Client) SOLUS (SIMS Online Update Service) and SSM (SIMS Services Manager) Microsoft (Office) 365 and browser technologies (Edge and Chrome)

And/or:

Using or supporting schools with their MIS systems (Arbor, ScholarPack or SIMS) Working in school administration/management and have a good understanding of MIS software functionality Working in an ICT service desk team or environment Using Microsoft 365 products, such as email, word, excel and teams

You will need to have good verbal and written communication skills, an ability to work under pressure and be flexible at peak times. You will be enthusiastic, reliable with a passion for learning and an ability to work together to effectively share, manage and prioritise issues and requests received from schools.

This is a hybrid working role and you will mainly be working from home with some work being carried out at our offices.
