Job Description
An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for 2 Assistant Supervisors to join our Waste Disposal service on a permanent basis.
NRS brings together a diverse range of Glasgow City Council operational, technical and development services that focus on sustainable transport, place making and delivering essential city services.

Position Details
The successful candidates will report to the designated Supervisor/Depot Manager and will be working within a Supervisory Team. The Assistant Supervisor will have the ability to organise, coordinate, and supervise a range of frontline operational staff in the delivery of services within a high-profile waste and recycling facility.
You must be able to motivate a team, prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and be able to demonstrate the ability to find solutions to problems affecting frontline service delivery. Good communication skills, IT skills are essential, whilst previous supervisory experience and risk assessment training is desirable. You must also already possess a First Aid certification or be willing to work towards this.

PLEASE NOTE A CLASS 2 DRIVING LICENCE WITH CPC IS AN ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT FOR THIS ROLE.
Contract Details
Weekly Hours: average of 37 hours per week
Work Pattern: 4 on, 4 off pattern including weekend working.
Annual Salary: £28,.79 - £32,.72 on an incremental scale.
Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attracts a non-standard work pattern/hours (NSWPH) payment of £2, per annum plus a working context & demand (WCD) payment of £1, per annum.
