As our new Skilled Quality Inspector you will be familiar with a wide array of CNC machining techniques such as turning, drilling and milling. This is a dynamic role where various inspection equipment ranging from VICIvision to CMM will be employed to inspect rotors, shafts and gearboxes. You will balance your time between inspecting items in inspection area, and live inspection in a manufacturing cell.

The Quality Inspector will be expected to raise non-conformances ensuring that all non-conforming and at risk products are safely quarantined.

The Role:

  • Inspect and measure parts in inspection area and manufacturing line.
  • Passing, referring or failing goods on the line as appropriate, keeping the Quality Engineer informed with regular updates.
  • Raise non-conformances on non-conforming product and ensure appropriate containment actions are taken
  • Flexible to work in different areas when required
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to work area and processes.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings, layouts and related documentation at a high level.
Your skills will include:

  • First principal inspection techniques, GD&T, VICI Vision, Shadow graphs, Laser measurements, CMM, Hexagon arm & PMI reporting

    You will examine, inspect & measure goods/materials used within the pumps industry
  • You will be proficient with using a multitude of test and precision measuring equipment, such as the VICI vision, hexagon arm and CMM
  • You will demonstrate excellent judgement skills, passing or referring products to the Quality Engineer and providing ideas for improvement where applicable.
Your experience will include:

  • CNC machining
  • CMM inspection techniques
  • Six Sigma yellow belt
