Woking, United Kingdom WWF-UK Full time
This is a UK based contract and as such, you are required to have the Right to Work in the UK. Evidence of your Right to Work will be checked prior to interview.

This is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.

If you are an experienced project manager this is a tremendous opportunity to use your expertise to help save our planet.

Our world needs you like never before. We are the first generation to know we are destroying the world and we could be the last that can do anything about it. We are looking for people who are passionate about making it politically, socially and economically unacceptable to destroy our planet’s natural resources. To achieve this vital and ambitious mission it is essential that we deliver all our work, and particularly our projects, as effectively as possible. To this end our Project Management Office (PMO) has been created to ensure project management best practice and support projects and Project Managers across the organisation.

As a PMO Project Manager, you’ll need to be highly adaptable, to work on a variety of projects from across our organisation. Past projects managed by the team have been on international advocacy, events management, organisational change and ICT. These will often be high priority projects with tight deadlines or significant challenges.

We’ll look to you to manage all aspects of project management including identifying project objectives, creating workable project plans, engaging with external and internal stakeholders, identify risks and issues and oversee implementation. As a member of the PMO, we’ll also expect you to be an exemplar of project management best practice and always willing to share your expertise with other colleagues.

To help bring our world back to life, you must have project management experience and sound knowledge of project methodology and practices. You will ideally possess a recognised project management qualification, such as PRINCE2 or APM PMQ. Comfortable managing complex projects, you will have excellent communication, problem solving and influencing skills. Able to work on your own initiative, you will be comfortable partnering and supporting a number of individuals within a matrix structure. Of course, you will have an interest in conservation and environmental issues too.

If you would like to develop a broad base of project management experience and enjoy regularly tackling new challenges, we would love to hear from you. Please visit our website via the link, complete the online registration and submit a copy of your up-to-date CV with Supporting Statement highlighting what makes you a good fit for us.

Our policies and benefits reflect the importance of people being able to have a good work-life balance and being able to bring their ‘full self’ to work.

Every role at WWF is open to applications from all sections of society. We believe in the potential of everyone regardless of; sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic origin, different physical ability, family structure, socio-economics, age, nationality or citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other aspect that makes you, well you. Here at WWF, we are committed to conscious inclusion that helps cultivate an ethos of belonging, connection and shared purpose. We believe that the more diverse we are the better we become; this brings us together and empowers us to develop, engage and inspire; and critically to help build a future where people can live in harmony with nature.
