Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Oldham
Contract: Permanent FullTime (PartTime options available)
Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week

Salary: 14 per hour
SleepIn Rate: 65 per night

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team in Oldham. In this role you will provide highquality care to children and young people in a residential setting ensuring their safety wellbeing and development. You will lead by example supporting the team in maintaining the highest care standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a nurturing and supportive environment for children and young people.
  • Work closely with the Deputy and Manager to ensure smooth operation and compliance with Ofsted standards.
  • Act as a key worker delivering tailored care based on individual needs.
  • Assist with daily activities including personal care cooking and managing pocket money.
  • Support childrens education and learning activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Lead on health and safety ensuring a safe environment for all.
  • Be available for oncall duties as needed.
  • Administer medication as required.
Team Responsibilities:
  • Guide and support team members fostering a positive and accountable culture.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and highperforming team environment.
  • Promote a safe inclusive and positive work setting.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience: Proven experience in a residential care setting particularly working with children or young people. Previous experience in a supervisory or senior role is preferred.
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Childrens Residential Care or equivalent is essential.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
  • Compliance: Understanding of safeguarding practices regulatory frameworks and Health and Safety requirements.
