Ofsted Regulated Residential Children’s Home, Regulated for the care of EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulty) children.

**Salary**:
Earnings of up to **£12.60 P/H + AN ENHANCED AND MARKET LEADING SLEEP IN RATE**.

**Hours**:
Hours will vary per week, but this is a full-time role. There may be times when the Residential Care Worker is expected to work outside of their typical hours.

**Overview of the Role**:

- You will be working with our Outstanding Managers and will support your team with the overall running of the home, care team and children in line with Ofsted regulations.
- You will be assisting in the promotion of good childcare practice in accordance with Starlight Residential’s Policies and Procedures.
- A key component of the role will be day to day support of the children in our care including household duties, cooking, shopping, laundry and adhering to safeguarding protocols in the home.
- To perform sleeping-in duties as required.
- Thrive in a team environment and be flexible with the ability to work a rota pattern.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Willing to undertake training to support acquiring fundamental knowledge around understanding trauma, de-escalation techniques, communication skills and safety interventions, inclusive of restrictive holds.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in an appropriate manner.
- A full UK driving license is desirable for this role.
