We are seeking a dynamic City Business Events and Conventions Officer to join our team in promoting Edinburgh as a premier destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE). This role is pivotal in supporting senior team members and securing new business events for the city, enhancing its economic and social impact.
Key Responsibilities:
• Reporting and Documentation: Daily and weekly reporting on activities and enquiries, typing and distributing meeting minutes, and managing invitations and RSVPs for events.
• Client Interaction: Act as the first point of contact for all enquiries about city promotion, managing the group inbox, and coordinating responses.
• Event Coordination: Organize city site visits and fam trips for potential clients, including sourcing travel and accommodation, and leveraging member discounts.
• Proposal Management: Handle association, corporate, and incentive enquiries, preparing Requests For Proposals (RFPs), and creating comprehensive bid documents.
• Promotion and Coordination: Assist in promoting and coordinating Ambassador events, maintaining knowledge of member venues and services, and updating the CRM system.
• Content Management: Maintain , assist with social media content, and engage with relevant content to promote Edinburgh.
• Statistics and Reporting: Annually collate statistics on International Association events and submit to ICCA for their rankings.
• Event Participation: Attend relevant business events, conferences, and exhibitions, as well as member showcases and venue launches.
• Administrative Support: Perform various administrative duties to ensure efficient service operations.
