As a Healthcare Assistant in Radiology at our Leicester Hospital, you'll show us you're able to meet deadlines and follow instructions. You have a good telephone manner, and great computer and database skills. And if you're qualified to NVQ Level 2 or 3, with relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting, that's even better.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will:

  • Assist qualified staff during radiological and ultrasound procedures.

  • Prepare the examination room prior to radiological/ultrasound procedures.

  • To act as chaperone during examinations.

  • Receive, admit and prepare patients for examination.

  • Assist with portering/escorting patients to and from wards.

  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.

  • Provide general administration assistance including the collation, distribution and filing of diagnostic imaging reports and films.

  • Enter patient charges and other information accurately onto hospital's computerised administration system.

  • Assist in the maintenance of stocks of contrast agents, linen and consumables to an agreed level.
