Position Overview
Join the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. As a Radiographer, you will play a vital role in our Imaging department, which is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct imaging procedures, including plain film and CT scans, ensuring high-quality results.
- Participate in the rotation through various departments, including Emergency, In-patient, and Out-patient services.
- Engage with a diverse patient population, providing care for both acute and non-acute cases, including pediatric patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support specialized patient care.
- Utilize advanced imaging technology and maintain compliance with safety protocols.
- Assist in the supervision and training of junior staff and non-medical personnel.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in Radiology Information and PACS systems.
Essential Qualifications
- Degree in Radiography or equivalent qualification.
- Current HCPC registration is mandatory.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience within the NHS as a student or newly qualified radiographer.
- IT proficiency and knowledge of imaging software.
Skills and Attributes
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to patients and colleagues.
- Strong analytical and judgment skills, with a commitment to quality care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating the Trust's values of compassion, pride, inclusivity, and teamwork.
Work Environment
This role requires participation in a 24/7 out-of-hours roster, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with access to ongoing professional development and training.
