There is an exciting opportunity to join North Lincolnshire Council as a Highway Development Services Officer to carry out day to day highway control duties.

The successful candidate as part of the Highway Development Services Team will undertake inspections of estate road developments to ensure they are being constructed to the appropriate Highway standards and in accordance with approved drawings so that adequate records are available to inform future decisions regarding the adoption and future maintenance. Ensuring works, inspections and other activities are in accordance with legal requirements, codes of practice, development guidance and specifications so that the council is fulfilling its obligations in respect of the service and the monitoring of others engaged in highway construction.

The postholder will also assess planning applications for highway purposes, making recommendations on highway conditions and providing expert guidance on highway related issues.
