The Street Cleansing team are seeking a Community operatives on a permanent basis.

This is a front facing service role where we are looking for an individual who cares about their community and takes pride in their work, striving to go the extra mile, with a 'can do', positive attitude to problem solving.

Your primary duty will be to support with general street cleanliness undertaking the initial investigation and removal of Flytipping, recovery of sharps and other hazardous waste, litter picking and the removal of deceased animals from the Highway. You will also be installing, servicing and emptying our community bins.

You will need to have a basic knowledge of IT and the ability to use an iPad.

This role is physically demanding, involves heavy lifting, walking considerable distances and working in all weather conditions whilst operating large plant machinery on the highway.

Due to the nature of the work, you will need to have a flexible approach to your working hours combined with a willingness to work evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the service where enhancements will be payable.

A current full UK driving licence is an essential requirement for this role with an entitlement to drive vehicles up to 7.5T would be advantageous.
