Customer and Digital Services has a vacancy for a motivated individual who is keen to help make a positive difference to the residents and communities the Council serves. The position provides an ideal opportunity for someone who is interested in broadening their experience of working with a large and diverse online presence and of working in the public sector.

You wil undertake, or assist with, the provision of support and development activities in relation to the Council's online presence and will work in an exciting and dynamic environment which is at the heart of business change throughout the Council. You will work closely with the Web Team Lead and other members of the Web Team to assist in the management of the Council’s internet and intranet websites in line with the Council’s Digital Strategy.

You will contribute to the ongoing development of the Council’s websites including the integration of applications for online transactions and the development of interactive and personal features aligning with the needs and expectations of residents, customers, and service users. The successful candidate will work in close co-operation with other Council service areas to help create and publish digital content, and to design and publish online forms.

You will be responsible for driving and delivering the content and user experience on website and our intranet and have a solid understanding of UX, CX and user testing.

You will assist the Web Team Lead in developing a range policies and procedures for content development, training and management of content publishers, and will contribute to setting up KPIs for customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have experience of Content Management Systems, along with knowledge of accessibility requirements, government legislation, guidelines and best practice for websites.

You will have exceptional communication and organisational skills, strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines. You should have the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment whilst being creative and innovative in providing solutions to digital challenges.

You should be flexible, proactive and customer driven, embrace change, and keep up to date with emerging web technologies.
