We have an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to apply for the role of Finance Business Partner.

You’ll lead and manage a section of the corporate Finance function focusing on delivering consistent, high quality, customer focussed service while providing professional financial management support to a designated Directorate Leadership Team.

Leadership and management : Lead and manage a section of the corporate Finance function providing professional leadership and guidance. Strategic influence : Lead a centre of expertise across the Council using your insights to support and influence both strategic and operational decision making. Directorate support: Provide professional guidance to a designated Directorate to advise on critical business planning assumptions, help navigate trade-offs, identify opportunities and act as an account manager for end to end financial services. Ambassador for the Finance function: Drive delivery of finance initiatives, gaining acceptance from key stakeholders and building strong relationships.

We are looking for people who meet the following criteria:

Education : Graduate calibre with supporting CCAB professional qualification. Experience : Extensive generalist finance knowledge and expertise across all disciplines. Team Player : Strong team player who can collaborate effectively. Strategic thinker : Experience of developing strategies and translating these into deliverable plans. Consultancy and Facilitation Skills : Able to communicate clearly, influence others and gain credibility. Systems : Proficient IT skills with the ability to optimise technology for continuous improvement.

We are currently shaping our future workstyles however, in light of current advice, we are introducing blended home/office working that will include office access days each week with homeworking for the remainder of your working time.
