We have a Product Manager role, working within our integration portfolio. This role will be in one of our high profile, complex teams and product manage one of our products which is about citizen records and the migration of those. �Working closely with technical experts from Digital you will work as part of a team developing products which supports Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Events and File transfer technologies, these technologies are key in our secure data sharing strategy.�
Job description
The Product Manager role sits within Core Digital Services.� Working alongside product teams you will support the Lead Product Manager and Senior Product Manager to develop strategic Integration products that underpin the Departments data sharing strategy and its Strategic Reference Architecture.�
You will manage the ongoing development of technical products within one of our many critical services. You will be responsible for strategic decisions, gathering user needs and business goals to frame problems and set priorities for the delivery team. You will also be actively involved in developing the product strategy, managing the product roadmap and communicating product success to interested and impacted stakeholders.
Additionally, you�ll be a part of our Product Community of Practice. Where Product Managers across DWP Digital come together to share learning, discuss their development needs, gain support and solve for common problems.� As a Product Manager, you will:�
Understand and translate the mission � You will need to understand the mission and communicate with teams and stakeholders how the problem you are solving contributes to achieving the aims of our service.Provide Product Management � Ensuring the team is designing and building products in the right way by following service standards as defined by Central Data and Digital Office (CDDO) and the internal DWP service standard assurance team.Define Product Goals and Metrics �Set clear goals and work with others to understand how you will measure success.Deliver an Agile service - with the ability to work in a fast paced, evolving, Scaled Agile environment and utilises an iterative method and flexible approach to enable rapid deliveryEnsure user and business needs are at the heart of product development.Drive consistency and quality.Person specification

LEAD CRITERIA - Have developed, implemented and maintained reusable technical Integration products such as Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Events and Files and incorporated them into a user focused roadmap*.Experience of making a decision in a time pressured situation.�Have made effective decisions based on incomplete information using a range of suitable techniques.�Experience of working with stakeholders and influencing them to gain buy-in.Experience of prioritising backlogs based on user needs, value and effort.* An initial sift may be conducted using the lead criteria stated above. Salary Information
Pay for this role is from �52,412 to �63,517. �
Our offer to successful candidates will be based on an assessment of your skills and experience as demonstrated at interview.��
Existing Civil Servants who secure a new role on lateral transfer should maintain their current salary.��
Existing Civil Servants who gain promotion may move to the bottom of the grade pay scale or 10% increase in salary whichever would be the greater.�
