Your role and responsibilities  

The vast majority of this role includes line management. We have a fantastic team and know that good leadership brings out the best in our staff. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate our WE ASPIRE values on a daily basis. This role has the potential to bring you exciting new skills.

As the Business Support Manager , you will need to learn all aspects of your team's functions to give them five-star support and advice.

This role allows for an excellent work-life balance, becoming part of a strong, capable, and welcoming Team. You will have considerable autonomy so you must be able to make decisions that are in support of developing the team and identifying need. If you find satisfaction in supporting people to achieve their best and progress within the wider organisation then this is the post for you.

managing a team of three Business Support Assistant Managers and six Business Support Officers, specialising in finance, and assisting with admin and telephony support to Social Workers, Practitioners, Managers, and Senior Managers committed to learning our bespoke applications and processes, and able to switch efficiently from task to task understand the need for accuracy, as well as confidentiality and data protection.

You will need

a relevant qualification such as NVQ4, HNCD or equivalent level of knowledge and experience to be resilient under pressure and be able to remain positive when challenged transferrable skills and enthusiasm to learn to be able to multi-task, whilst achieving priorities to communicate clearly to a range of audiences to provide a supportive response and a can-do attitude a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

we are a business support team, providing joined-up support to Family Support, Child In Need and Child In Care Teams we work collaboratively, sharing responsibility for goals and good Customer Service we practice hybrid working, with an expectation that all staff have regular days in the office and show flexibility in meeting the business needs.
