Your new role, what's involved?
  • Taking a leading role in the continued growth of WSP's renewable energy Technical Due Diligence service, with focus across offshore wind, onshore wind, solar PV and battery energy storage transactions.
  • Managing a portfolio of Technical Due Diligence assignments.
  • Assessing projects, in collaboration with our internal teams, to determine and report the status and key risks to our clients.
  • Liaising directly with clients, developing and maintaining close working relationships with clients.
  • Maintaining and building WSP's reputation as a leading technical consultant for renewable energy and Technical Due Diligence, including promoting the company externally.

YOUR TEAM

WSP's has a long history in the delivery of technical and project management consultancy services focused on renewable energy. We have worked on all major renewable energy technologies (i.e., offshore wind, onshore wind, solar PV, battery energy storage) including some of the world's largest renewable energy projects.

We have established client relationships with some of the largest developers, investors and lenders in the industry and we support their projects across the globe. Delivering high quality, proactive, prompt and up to date technical services to our clients is paramount. We offer services at all stages of the project lifecycle, with a particular focus on the following core services:
  • Technical Due Diligence for Merger and Acquisition (M&A) transactions.
  • Lender's Technical Advisor (LTA) scopes of work.
  • Energy yield and resource assessments.
  • Site layouts and optimisation, concept design and feasibility studies.
  • Project development and Owner's Engineer (OE) scopes of work, including tendering and contracting support, construction monitoring and management, and technical advisory services.

WSP has ambitions to significantly expand our renewable energy team and are currently looking to fill positions to support delivery of projects in our pipeline. We are seeking talented engineers, consultants and renewable energy professionals with experience in the delivery of Technical Due Diligence scopes of work.

This role will report to WSP's Wind Sector Lead but it is expected that this role could involve supporting renewable energy projects from other sectors too. Working closely with the other renewable energy sector teams will be required, as will working with WSP's other technical discipline leads, and international offices. In addition to providing technical expertise, a key element of this role is to contribute to the development of a close-knit high-performing specialist team

We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • A degree in a relevant engineering, technical or scientific discipline.
  • Experience in the delivery of Technical Due Diligence scopes of work for wind, solar or battery energy projects
  • Knowledge of the offshore wind sector, battery or solar PV industry
  • The ability to clearly convey technical information, in written form and verbally, to non-technical audiences.
