Project Manager Changing Futures

Do you want to be part of an initiative that challenges traditional ways of working to improve outcomes for some of East Sussex' most vulnerable residents? The Changing Futures Programme is trialling different approaches to working with people who have experienced multiple disadvantage across the domains of domestic abuse, substance misuse, homelessness, contact with the criminal justice system, and poor mental health, which can result in them falling through the cracks between services.
We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team until the end of March 2025. The post is based in a busy and varied working environment and includes the management of internal relationships and coordination of internal stakeholder communications, participation in relevant partnership forums, and data collection, as well as participation in programme working groups and implementation of programme initiatives and workstreams.
This is the perfect opportunity for a skilled project manager keen to build up their experience in a cutting edge initiative that will change the way East Sussex services and systems work.
We are looking for candidates who have:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively with a range of stakeholders; form and maintain effective working relationships and provide coaching to clients/colleagues on project processes.
Sound partnership working skills with the ability to develop and manage effective links and relationships across and outside of the organisation and coordinate a range of partners to successfully deliver objectives.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate problems and resolve issues, planning solutions and making sound pragmatic decisions which will have a direct impact on the business/service.
Ability to adapt to changing situations in a measured and flexible manner in order to adapt the service provided to suit any change in circumstance whether legislative, structural, partnership related, etc.
A willingness to work flexibly and creatively across the council as well as with colleagues in the central programme team, based in West Sussex County Council.
