As part of our efforts to do this we are now looking for a Consultant in Public Health, who can inspire and engage others, to deliver our vision to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities. Health improvement will be a key feature of your leadership portfolio and will be further shaped around your expertise, passion and the skill mix within the team.

As a public health leader you will combine your professional excellence with determination to deliver radical and sustainable impact on population health and wellness, working as part of a supportive Council with huge ambition. You will also have a key role in health and wellbeing partnership arrangements working across organisational and professional boundaries  to  stimulate commitment to public health outcomes and prevention as a core feature of public sector reform.

This  is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and forward-thinking public health professional to be part of a team leading a new and ambitious public health vision for Wigan and make a real mark in a Council with a strong national reputation.
