Further expansion and global demand for their market leading renewable energy solutions has seen unprecedented global growth and the requirement to recruit a Field Service Engineer specialising in ESS.
Responsibilities
Maintenance Manager which presents an opportunity to develop the O&M function within our fast-growing Operations and Maintenance department. Reporting to the O&M Director of BESS, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the Operations and Maintenance services provided by the Field Service Engineers on the battery storage projects.
Wider responsibilities:
Developing an Operation and Maintenance function to fulfill asset management and O&M objectives as our asset base grows.Ensuring to deliver O&M services for BESS assets and develop to ensure effective and efficient delivery of works.Creating maintenance schedules and delegating tasks to team members.Conducting site inspections and identifying areas requiring extra maintenance work.Supervising maintenance workers and ensuring they follow safe work practices.Performing minor on-site repairs.Scheduling contractors for major repairs as required.Discussing maintenance concerns with the employer and communicating these to Maintenance Workers.Staying on-call and responding to emergency maintenance needs.Developing maintenance budgets, hiring maintenance crew, and assisting with vendor contracts.Controlling and monitoring inventory.Coordinating work performed by outside vendors.Adopting a culture of HSE excellence within both your own team and company.Troubleshoot operational issues with our O&M service team and technical partners to identify and resolve issues.Keep up to date with any administrative duties such as time sheets, daily vehicle checks and providing daily job logs and reports, compile the reports and submit to the senior management team.Skills RequiredStrong knowledge of BESS, energy management best practices, energy efficiency, and renewable technologies.Degree educated in engineering or related field or equivalent experience in utilities, oil and gas, water.H & S knowledge and experience within electrical installation projects (RAMS / SHEQ / CDM).H&S qualification IOSH or NEBOSH & SMSTS.EHS relevant experience, like RAMS, COSHH, etc.Previous experience in an Electrical Contracting / Construction environment, and BESS.Desirable knowledge of electrical works BS7671 such as renewables, Battery storage, Electric Vehicle Charge Point, PV, Installations, etc.Engineering and Technical knowledge and experience with awareness of operational contract constraints and understanding of business and technical risks.Experience of Asset Operational Data Analysis and Reporting, preferably but not essentially within the utilities, process, or oil and gas sector, other industries will be considered.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Packages.Commercially excellent - with the ability to spot what matters and bring clarity to efforts in the team.Able to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.Full UK driving license.Personal Attributes A positive attitude towards Health, Safety, Wellbeing, Environment, and Quality Assurance (RAMS/SHEQ/CDM).Good communication skills with the ability to simplify detailed technical information.Well organized, ability to multitask.Comfortable interacting with and presenting to a wide range of audiences, including senior management.The ability to manage multiple O&M Engineers, BESS clients, and other external parties across sites showing excellent communication skills.Strong situational judgment and risk management skills.Supervises and plans team workload.Team Player with the ability to impart knowledge and share experience.Manages own workload effectively.Promotes service excellence and collaborative behaviors for success, in the spirit of teamwork.The ability to build and maintain customer/client relationships to ensure customers/clients are delighted and future growth opportunities.Positively influence a wide range of stakeholders under a variety of budgetary and regulatory pressures.
