About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated DRIVE Case Manager to deliver our Domestic Violence and Abuse (DVA) programme. You will champion our values across the organisation, fostering a culture of fairness, collaboration, and trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inter-agency Work:
  2. Embed the Case Manager role into multi-agency domestic abuse responses.
  3. Challenge partner agencies positively, acknowledge best practices, and strive for beneficial changes.
  4. Support professionals in alignment with the DRIVE Project's aims and ethos.
  5. Maintain partnerships with statutory, private, and voluntary agencies.
  6. Represent the service at multi-agency meetings and contribute to evaluations.
  7. Provide a single point of contact for involved professionals.
  8. Case Management:
  9. Manage a caseload of high-risk domestic abuse perpetrators, providing medium to long-term support based on thorough assessment and individual planning.
  10. Contribute to service reviews, attend case management meetings, and clinical supervision.
  11. Take appropriate steps to protect others where imminent risk is identified.
  12. Recording and Administration:
  13. Ensure case files and records are accurate, complete, and GDPR compliant.
  14. Enter required information into the DRIVE project electronic case management system.
  15. Maintain a secure audit trail of all relevant communication.
  16. Direct Work with Service Users:
  17. Proactively engage service users, providing positive behaviour change options.
  18. Use motivational work, relationship building, and therapeutic skills to address abusive behaviour.
  19. Ensure consistent delivery of services, including comprehensive risk assessment and support planning.
  20. Work closely with Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVAs) to support partners, ex-partners, new partners, and family members in managing risk and developing intervention plans.
  21. General:
  22. Stay compliant with relevant legislation, procedures, policies, and professional codes of conduct.
  23. Represent the service at local events, deliver training, and presentations.
  24. Engage in reflective practice, share learning, and commit to regular training.
  25. Act with integrity and respect in all interactions.
  26. Hold a full driving license, have access to a car, and be able to travel as required.
  27. Partake in evening and weekend work as needed.Person Specification:

    Essential Experience:

  28. Direct work with vulnerable service users.
  29. Experience in public protection/safeguarding multi-agency settings.
  30. Managing safeguarding issues and procedures.
  31. Writing and presenting information to various audiences.
  32. Working within legislative frameworks to encourage partnership working.
  33. Experience in conflict management.Desirable Experience:
  34. Working with victims and/or perpetrators of domestic abuse.
  35. Experience with service users having complex needs, mental health issues, or substance misuse.
  36. Pro-social modeling and motivational interviewing.Abilities and Attributes:
  37. Decision-making confidence.
  38. Team collaboration and independent initiative.
  39. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  40. Belief in perpetrator behavior change.
  41. Comprehensive understanding of risk.
  42. Capacity to manage raw emotions, conflict, and trauma.

  44. Effective relationship management skills.
  45. IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office.
  46. Relevant degree, vocational qualification, or equivalent experience.
  47. Strong advisory, negotiation, and persuasive skills.
  48. Empathy, conflict, and crisis management skills.
  49. Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.Knowledge:
  50. Understanding of domestic abuse and its impact, legal and practical remedies.
  51. Knowledge of public protection arrangements and multi-agency/partnership working.
  52. Effective engagement strategies with domestic abuse perpetrators.
  53. Understanding of IDVA work, risk assessment, and safety planning.
