Zest Education are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join the year 4 class from September 2024. The successful candidate will work closely with the Year 4 class teacher to support and enhance the learning experience of students. This role is pivotal in providing tailored support to pupils, helping to create a positive and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students to reinforce learning.
  • Help prepare and organize classroom resources and materials.
  • Support the development of students' social and emotional skills.
  • Monitor and record pupils' progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
  • Supervise students during break and lunchtimes as required.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role or setting.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) are desirable but not essential.
