Our client is one of the largest water companies in the UK, responsible for water and wastewater services in the northwest of England. As a construction manager, you will be part of a team and work within the capital delivery portfolio of the client's security enhancement projects. You will be part of a collaborative environment interacting positively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.The role will ensure the client's project governance procedures are followed including risk, cost and change control and will work collaboratively with other teams across the business to deliver the projects.

You'll be responsible for:

Collaborative work and interaction with multi-disciplined project teams, ie. site personnel, design, technology services, alarm monitoring centre, SE Maintenance, contractors and suppliersTo present innovation wherever possible in support of the accepted solution.Understanding the CNI Categorisations that determine the level of security required per site.Participation in reviews within the projects lifecycle: security protection solution definition, construction, commissioning and handover phasesFollowing company H&S policy and proceduresUndertaking regular site inspections and reviews during the construction phaseChecking contractor RAMS and responsibility for issuing Work Authorisation and Permits to Work for all activities undertakenOrganising of HAZOP, HAZCON, progress and commissioning meetingsOwning projects throughout the project lifecycle from definition to handover and closeoutIntegration and commissioning of the site alarm monitoring configuration into the central alarm management system databaseEnsuring compliance with the requirements of project: environmental, CDM 2015, health and safety, water quality and environmental standards, to security protection levels and to WIMES, and statutory legislationHaving a good understanding of the water sites' security hardening and detection requirements and systems to ensure adequate level of protection is providedManaging contractors to ensure that the execution of projects is undertaken to the satisfaction of our clientSupporting the contractor in generating the Asset register and reviewing the Asset Registration De-Registering Documentation/Submissions

You'll need to have:

You will ideally be qualified to degree level or equivalent in engineering or construction, although a person with several years' experience in designing, installing and commissioning complex industrial security systems would be considered for the role. You will have completed the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course.You will work seconded to the client, working in the northwest of England. Although the main HQ is based in Warrington, you will also be required to travel to multiple sites. Water sector experience is preferred although experience within a regulated infrastructure environment will also be considered.A Full UK Driving Licence essential.

You'll also have:

You will be digitally savvy and have familiarity in using a project and programme tools such as Oracle. Working knowledge of security detection, video surveillance systems would be an advantage, and having used or being familiar with a central alarm monitoring system (Datalog or similar) would be advantageous.You can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams.
