Our client is a UK-based outsourcing and professional services company. They provide a wide range of services to both public and private sector clients, including customer management, IT services, human resources, and administration. Ultimately, they help organisations to streamline operations by improving efficiency, and reduce costs by taking over various non-core functions. The company operates across multiple sectors such as education, healthcare, local government, and financial services.
Description
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing legal advice in matters relating to supplier-based activity. On a day to day basis typical duties will include:
- Supporting Senior Management on all projects and transactions and briefing them on areas of concern.
- Providing strong commercial contracts experience across supplier based activities, including reviewing, negotiating and drafting said contracts.
- Identifying where judicious decisions are needed on key decision points in contract or dispute negotiations, escalating to relevant stakeholders where appropriate.
- Attending meetings with clients and stakeholders and presenting at those meetings.
- Continuously managing personal professional development, sharing know-how with the wider legal team and assisting with development and dissemination of legal training as required.
- Assisting with internal reporting and ad-hoc projects.
Profile
To be successful in this position you will be a UK qualified lawyer with experience across a broad range of commercial contracts. Ideally you will have some prior in-house experience and previous exposure to supplier contracts.
Other key skills and experience required include:
- Sound legal, commercial, business and negotiating acumen with strong technical legal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Articulate and numerate drafting.
- Attention to detail.
- Highly responsive, proactive, solution-oriented attitude to resolving business issues.
- Professional and personal integrity.
- Project management and prioritisation skills.
- The ability to work without supervision.
- Collaborative and approachable with strong interpersonal skills.
