What Is The Role?

  • You will report to the Assistant Director and be an integral part of the Pobl Care East operational team managing a Mental Health service for 16 individuals.
  • The service works closely with the local health boards and commissioning teams, many of the individuals are referred to the service from secure or nurse led environments and the service has a recovery focus supporting individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • The aim of this service is to support individuals who are living with a mental health condition in a safe, inclusive and person-centred environment to develop and maintain their independent living skills in order to step down into further independence.
  • The role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring compliance with RISCA regulations and delivering excellent care to the people using the service.
  • You will have overall responsibility for 2 Team Managers, 16 Project Workers and a number of other supporting roles within the service.

What Skills And Experience Do You Need?

You'll be an highly skilled Registered Manager within mental health services who has at least three years previous experience at a Registered Manager level. Ideally the candidate will have a background in one or more of the following.

  • Experience of forensic/high risk behaviour management
  • Experience of secure and/or nurse environments
  • Positive Behavioural Support
  • Dual diagnosis
  • Personality Disorder
  • Recovery focused settings
  • Move on/step down services
  • Building effective collaborative working relationships with health boards and multidisciplinary teams

You Will Have:

  • A strong track record in developing colleagues, teams and individuals
  • Knowledge of key policies, procedures, systems and legislation that influences the provision of Adult Social Care including Care Inspectorate Wales and Social Care Wales
  • QCF level 5 or equivalent
  • You will need a full driving licence and use of a car for work
  • You will have the passion to ensure that the quality of service provided meets both Pobl and RISCA standards, by leading and managing staff teams, budgets, and having positive relationships internally and externally. It is vital that you work in a person-centred way and behave in line with the Pobl values of being Positive, Connected and Considerate.
