About the role

We are looking to appoint a new member of staff in the Technical and Applied Computing subject area to join our dynamic, successful, and expanding community. You will be based at our beautiful Park Campus in Cheltenham which is located at the heart of the golden valley and GCHQ.

The Technical and Applied Computing subject area is part of the University of Gloucestershire's School of Business, Computing and Social Sciences, where we have an opportunity for a talented individual with a real flair for teaching and research to join the team. A focus for the University is preparing students for their future career and our links with industry are key to this.

We are looking for applications from Computing specialists who will ideally have experience of teaching in Higher Education and have an interest in research and development in a Computer Science area. You should have technical and research skills in networking, cybersecurity, programming and/or data science. You will be supporting the delivery of a range of modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

It is desirable that you have experience in cloud security, Blockchain or the security information management. You must also have a demonstrable high level of technical skills and excellence in the use of Windows and Linux-based operating systems.
