About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Searchability NS&D, a leading National Security and Defence Consultancy client. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in applying creative data science and machine learning techniques to drive business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data-driven solutions to complex problems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-quality project components
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in machine learning and data science
  • Document technical solutions and communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
  • Provide practical client solutions and assist in proposal crafting and pitching
Requirements
  • Active DV Clearance
  • Applying data science or machine learning in Defence/Security, public sector, or academia
  • Proficiency in various machine learning architectures and models
  • Methodical problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication of complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Client relationship management abilities
Desirable Skills
  • Cloud-based Data Science and Machine Learning services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with Python libraries for data management, statistics, machine learning, and visualisation
  • Expertise in popular machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch
  • Knowledge of cutting-edge techniques for Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision
  • Strong grasp of basic probability concepts and machine learning lifecycle
  • Experience with workflow and pipelining frameworks (e.g., Kubeflow, MLFlow, Argo)
  • Understanding and application of Ethical AI considerations
