Our Team...

The Talent Management is the connective team between on-screen Talent and the businesses of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) to effectively and efficiently manage the Talents' business strategy, prioritise their activities, align with Production, and optimise operations.

As the Talent's key relationship holder at WBD, Talent Management strategically manages relationships with Talent, their representatives, and internal clients. The department supports with casting, contracts, onboards, assesses, coaches, advocates and manages the Talent to help drive subscriptions, ratings, revenue, relationships, renewals and brand growth.

Your New Role...

The Talent Management Specialist position offers operational support for the London-based team responsible for WBD Sports Europe Talent, particularly across rugby, motorsport, cricket, tennis, cycling, wintersport, snooker and golf.

Talent Management serves to mentor on-screen Talent, troubleshoot Talent issues and build the Talents' brand in partnership with the business. This person will have several Talent they are responsible for and manage on a day-to-day basis.

This person will also facilitate logistics for production and corporate events featuring Talent. He/she will partner with Production, PR, Marketing, Events, Corporate, Ad Sales etc. to book, brief and staff Talent for these events.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Work with the VP of Talent Management to coordinate and manage operational needs and client requests for WBD Sports Europe Talent.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders looking to leverage Talent, including Production, Production Management, Streaming, Legal, Ad Sales, Marketing, Communications, Digital and Social.
  • Establish relationships with Sports Leads as well as market leads to gather and compile information about their proposed Talent line-ups, commercial terms and contracting strategy, to facilitate the central approval process.
  • Manage select Talent and advise relevant internal stakeholders on Talent related topics, focussing on maximising opportunities with the Talent to support WBD's strategic priorities.
  • Support with contract management, tracking and executive summary drafting for the WBD Sports Europe Talent.
  • Attend internal meetings to learn, contribute, represent and report back priorities and plans related to Talent requests.
  • Book Talent for sports events, content requests, promotional requirements and any other needs from the business.
  • Create briefing documents to ensure Talent are well-briefed ahead of events and activations.
  • Share social media assets for Talent to post on their own social media platforms to promote their work and relationship with WBD.
  • Follow and monitor Talent social media profiles and raise timely red flags with appropriate internal partners.
  • Input and maintain Talent information in WBD's confidential Talent database, including contract information, contact info, interests etc.
  • Provide support to the Talent Management team, including budget management, gifting, reporting and presentation creation.
  • Oversee Talent payments.


Qualifications & Experience...

  • Previous production management or talent management experience
  • Demonstrated interest in the sports industry
  • Experience working with talent contracts is beneficial
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Professional and respectful with high-profile Talent and VIPs
  • Technically proficient
  • Familiarity with advanced functions of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Thoughtful and good communicator
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Team player with a collaborative approach to work
  • Natural demonstration of emotional intelligence
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
