The Data Officer will be responsible for monitoring, collating and analysing project performance data, ensuring it is accurate and adequately meets the reporting requirements of the Alliance Management Team, Alliance Leadership Team and Funding Stakeholders.

Key Duties:

  • Support CAVDAS staff, volunteers and management team with the monitoring and recording procedures using online database systems including PARIS, PalBase, SPG, NEO and Digital Health Care Solutions Wales.
  • Provide additional on-site training and technical support to CAVDAS staff, volunteers and management team.
  • Liaise with Cardiff and Vale Area Planning Board support team to monitor Key Performance Indicators and data trends.
  • Monitor data processes and work with the overall management team to maintain data integrity and reconcile data discrepancies.
  • Review the quality of the data and perform quality checks to ensure appropriate data collection meets the needs of service and reflects the work delivered.
  • Develop improvements in tools and/or processes to support information governance.
  • Analyse data sets and present findings to the management team, leadership team and external stakeholders.
  • Attend team meetings on request.

Reporting Functions

  • Produce monthly and quarterly performance reports for the management team, demonstrating trends and patterns in CAVDAS activity including referrals, assessment, interventions and treatment closures.
  • Analyse team delivery against targets, objectives and outcomes contained in the Alliance agreement.
  • Produce quarterly summative reports for Delivery Partners including; demographics, number of referrals, reasons for referrals, intervention activities and pre/post assessment scores to demonstrate reduction in substance use an improvement in health and wellbeing.
  • Consistently monitor and report performance issues to the management team.
  • Prepare and provide analytical findings to overall project team to help shape future project delivery plans.
  • Respond to information requests from the Management team, leadership team and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to external evaluation process using analytical skills to produce high level reports and address any queries from external evaluators.

Standard Duties

  • Collaborate with software providers to support the electronic information management of the project.
  • Create and maintain good working relations with all delivery partners, CAVDAs staff and volunteers and external stakeholders.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties required by the management team.

  • Help with the induction and orientation of new staff, volunteers and students
  • Ensure professional development by seeking regular supervision and annual appraisals.
  • Effectively manage own time and prioritise workload, maintaining own administration and accurate personal records regarding travel, diary appointments, TOIL, and expenses incurred.
