About Admiral Money:

Admiral Money is an exciting, new division of Admiral Group. We have the freedom and innovation of a small start up with the security of a large parent company, Admiral.

The journey started when we launched unsecured personal loans in June 2017. We went on to be the first direct to consumer car finance provider in December 2017. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength and have some exciting plans for the future.

  • Ensure that the analytics is timely and efficient, and enables colleagues to quickly make decisions based on all the relevant information
  • Making the business more comfortable with analytical and statistical methods, and supporting their ability to use these to drive efficiency and growth
  • You will actively keep abreast of new trends and developments in technology and data analytics. You will promote the use of data and analytics as a key part of our strategic development. You will present insight and learnings in an accessible but compelling way to enable our business leads to make well-informed decisions.

  • Commercial experience in delivering analytical support to a business function
  • Familiar with data storage technologies and management tools - using a combination of languages and technologies under an Agile framework
  • Proficient in relevant tools such as SQL and Python
  • Experience of using data insight to drive business decisions, growth, and innovation

Desirables:

  • Proficient in visualisation tools e.g. Power BI
  • Experience in leveraging Cloud technologies such as AWS / Azure / GCP
  • Experience in good software development best practices, such as Source Code Management and Test Driven Development, as well as experience in Agile ways of working is advantageous

Hybrid Working: The successful candidate will be required to work on site in Cardiff 2 days per week.

Salary, Benefits And Work-Life Balance:

At Admiral, we are proud to be a diverse business where we put our people and customers first. We have great benefits to ensure employees have a great work-life balance; it's one of the reasons we're consistently voted one of the Sunday Times Best Big Companies to Work For in the UK.

All colleagues will receive 33 days holiday (including banks holidays) when they join us, and this will increase with length of service, up to a maximum of 38 days (including banks holidays). You also have the option to buy or sell up to five days of annual leave in addition to your allocation.
