The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled MI Data Analyst to join our Motor Finance division and contribute to our mission. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building reports for various teams across the business, extracting, analysing, and interpreting large datasets, and producing visualizations that provide actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, manipulate, and analyse complex data sets using reporting tools to identify patterns, uncover correlations, and derive meaningful insights.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making that adds value across various business areas, such as risk management and performance analysis.
- Develop and deploy data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using SAS (in particular SAS Viya), Tableau, or other reporting tools to communicate findings effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-business teams to understand their business problems and reporting requirements, and deliver accurate and timely MI reports that meet their needs.
- Present complex findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, facilitating their understanding and driving actions based on the insights provided.
- Develop and maintain robust data models and databases to ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy for reporting purposes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related disciplines.
- Proven experience as an MI Data Analyst or similar role, preferably in financial services.
- Proficiency in utilizing SAS as well as Tableau or other reporting tools for data extraction, analysis, reporting, and visualization.
- Strong programming skills in SAS, R, Python, or similar.
- Ability to handle and analyse large and complex datasets, ensuring data integrity and quality.
- Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
