One of the best Asset Managers in the UK is hiring a Financial Planner.

We are looking for a dedicated Financial Planner to join our team, providing technical support and report writing services for client work in financial planning and advisory.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Collaborate with Financial Planners, Advisers, and colleagues to provide technical support and report writing services.
  • Conduct client risk assessments, research, analysis, and product selection within financial advisory services.
  • Manage ongoing processes for advisory clients, such as ISA top-ups, CGT harvesting, and advised drawdown clients' income changes.
  • Regularly communicate with clients via email and phone calls, providing support and guidance, and referring to the adviser when necessary.
  • Lead as the technician for the paraplanning team, offering support, updates on industry changes, training, mentoring, and technical sign-off.
  • Write suitability letters and reports in support of advisers and maintain the Suitability Template library.
  • Perform planning work, including income planning, IHT and tax calculations, Trust solutions, and cashflow planning.
  • Manage project work, such as the transition of acquired client banks to preferred solutions, including report processing and document creation.
    Required Skills & Qualifications:
    • PFS diploma qualified, ideally with progression towards Chartered status.
    • GCSE grades A - C (or in numeracy and literacy.
    • Competent computer skills, including Word and Excel.
    • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills.
    • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    • Good communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
    • Ability to work under own initiative and as a team player.
    • Detailed knowledge and understanding of a firm's record-keeping requirements.
    • Understanding of providing advice to clients in a compliant manner.
