The salary for the post will be in the region of £32,872 to £34,199 per annum (depending on experience).

Peterhouse is the oldest College in Cambridge (founded in 1284) and is among the smallest (currently 280 undergraduates; 176 postgraduates; 43 Fellows).

The Tutorial Officer will work in the Tutorial team in order to ensure students are well supported and their overall interactions with the Tutorial Office are positive. The Tutorial Officer is responsible to, and works closely with, the Tutorial Office Manager in order to provide administrative support to the Senior Tutor, Tutors, and Directors of Studies. The Tutorial Officer will act as the deputy to the Tutorial Office Manager and will be expected to deputise for the manager during any periods of absence.

The postholder will be responsible for wide-range of Tutorial activities, including but not limited to: examination administration (including EAA applications, arranging exams in College; assisting with the preparation of GB Reports); maintaining student records on the student database (CamSIS); administering the College's online reporting system for recording academic supervision (CamCORS). The role will also include arranging end-of-term appointments with Tutors, ensuring that Tutors have essential documentation and assisting with the organisation of events, as requested by the Senior Tutor and/or Tutors.

You will have recent relevant experience of being a senior administrator within student administration, ideally in a University setting. You will possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail and be able to work effectively under pressure, to prioritise and where necessary to manage a number of tasks concurrently. You will have extensive and advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook in order to perform all office tasks, as well as being able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people at all levels. You will have experience of dealing with confidential information, including displaying discretion in all written and verbal communications.
