As the Indirect Tax Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Head of UK Tax, focusing primarily on VAT matters. This full-time hybrid role requires on-site presence at our Binley head office in Coventry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the UK VAT compliance process, including reviewing quarterly VAT returns
  • Collaborate with external VAT advisors to enhance the VAT return process
  • Stay updated on VAT legislation changes, update internal procedures accordingly, and communicate changes to the wider team
  • Provide VAT compliance support to the UK property team
  • Engage with HMRC to address issues and clarify VAT treatment
  • Offer guidance to branch managers on customer VAT queries
  • Assist the Head of UK Tax with non-VAT tax matters as needed
  • Support the Group Tax team with global VAT queries

Required Skills and Experience:
  • CTA qualification (Indirect Route)
  • Background in a major accountancy firm

  • Ability to identify risks/opportunities and conduct initial reviews
  • Proactive in building relationships and sharing knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Familiarity with Customs processes and procedures is a plus
