London based contract with the option of hybrid working in the office and from home*

(subject to meeting homeworking assessment requirements, which includes a minimum broadband speed of 18Mbps and a dedicated space to work from)

Too many people miss out on the essential rehabilitation they need after major events like strokes and heart attacks or to manage a condition such as arthritis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

You might be one of those people. Or you might feel committed to make a difference.

One in four people in the UK now live with a long-term health condition, so the chances are you at least know someone whose quality of life could be improved through better care outside of hospital.

We are working tirelessly to deliver change – and now we need your help to make it happen.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced external stakeholder and partnerships lead to join the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). This role will coordinate the Community Rehabilitation Alliance group of 60+ professional bodies and voluntary organisations in a joint programme of work. The aim of this programme is for everyone to have the right to access good quality, person-centred rehab in their communities.

The role holder will maximise connections, understanding and trust with Alliance members as well as coordinating delivery of joint activities and communications. They will enhance the reputation of the Alliance as an expert advisor and contributor in healthcare design and policy development.

They will monitor the political environment and external developments to identify emerging issues and assess reputational risks, liaising with senior managers to adapt and deliver Alliance communications in response.

The role is also responsible for recruitment of new members to the Alliance, and will be expected to identify and establish new partnerships with relevant organisations and networks.

The post holder will work closely with policy and communications colleagues and directly with the CSP Co-chair of the Community Rehabilitation Alliance to develop strategic opportunities for Alliance-wide initiatives, activities and communications. They will provide strategic advice to colleagues on how best to meet the needs of stakeholders in a manner that is timely and aligns to broader Alliance objectives. And they will facilitate and co-create regular and new touchpoints that will support the Alliance's ambitions to grow its influence.

The postholder will support the communication strategy for the Right To Rehab campaign and oversee delivery of internal communications to Alliance members, ensuring that they are consistent, accurate and timely.

They will advise Assistant Directors and workstream leads on how partnership working can best achieve their strategic goals.

They will represent the CSP in discussions with senior stakeholders within the Community Rehabilitation Alliance, national level NHS bodies and government agencies in each UK country.
