The role: We are currently looking for a Marine Mechanical Technician to assist with the building, fitting out, finishing and maintaining of ASV vehicles, using industry standard principles.

The successful person will collaborate with colleagues to deliver quality products to agreed schedules and cost. You will also support the development and improvement of production methods, techniques and associated documentation.

Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Fitting out and assembly of boats and sub components to drawings.
• Assisting in the process of manufacture, painting, mechanical fitting and preparation of bare hulls.
• Repair of hulls and boat structures.
• Mechanical installation of customer payloads.
• Assisting with loading/unloading of materials and vessels.
• Supporting and assisting with trials operations.
• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Working with designers to develop and improve products, methods and drawings.
• Reporting of progress and any production issues.
• Management of stock materials, consumables and good production housekeeping.

Essential Skills / Qualifications / Experience:

• Mechanical Engineering qualification.
• Mechanical Fitout / Installation.
• Working in a project build environment.
• Independent, resilient and self-driven.
• Organised, tidy, and good communicator.
• Team player, supportive and coach.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications / Experience:

• Marine Mechanical Fitting / Installations.
• Prototyping.
• Production one-off / batch build.
