Personal Assistant to Head Teacher **TERM TIME ONLY**
£105 - £115 per day, PLUS weekly holiday pay & AMAZING Office Angels benefits
Hours: 8.00am - 4.00pm, Monday - Friday (30-minute lunch)
Location: Birmingham
Contract Duration: 3 months (potential extension opportunities)
Start Date: Week commencing 26th August 2024
As the Personal Assistant to the Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the organisation. With your excellent administrative skills and attention to detail, you will provide highly effective full administration support to the Head Teacher and SLT, helping to maintain an efficient and productive environment.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Managing the Head Teacher's diary, coordinating appointments, and organising meetings.
Preparing necessary briefings, presentations, and papers for meetings and ensuring they are distributed in a timely manner.
Liaising with parents, students, and colleagues, handling inquiries and confidential matters professionally.
Planning, arranging, and confirming travel requirements for the Head Teacher.
Demonstrating tact and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive issues.
Making informed decisions on urgent matters and delegating tasks to the administrative team when necessary.
Maintaining accurate records and minutes of meetings and events attended by the Head Teacher and SLT.
Managing all administrative filing, including teacher appraisals and meeting minutes.
Ensuring the Single Central Record is up to date in accordance with safeguarding policies.
Managing records and relevant information of agency workers, contractors, volunteers, trainees, and regular visitors to the school.
To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience as a PA (preferably in an education setting), be highly organised, able to work under pressure, prioritise conflicting deadlines and proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, experience of using ARBA is desirable.
