Position Title: Strategic Buyer

Duration: 12 Month Rolling Contract

Location: Gaydon

Division: Purchasing

Rate: Umbrella 36.74 per hour Inside IR35

Position Description:

  • Strategic Buyer

Skills Required:

  • Identifying opportunities for creating value in a category, structuring & executing complex analyses and applying purchasing tools (e.g., QAF analysis, cost breakdown, price variance analysis, use of SAP systems)
  • Implementing and delivering purchasing strategies across the affected areas of the business Influencing cross-functional engagement to implement strategies with the focus on total value chain delivery

Experience Required:

  • An individual, who works independently, is results driven, demonstrating tenacity, drive and perseverance with the ability to deliver operational plans in a complex, highly demanding environment.
  • An individual with the capability to combine a short term, pragmatic focus with medium term planning
  • An effective team player, actively develops and supports team

Additional Information :

  • Hybrid working - As a guide 2 days office, 3 WFH.
  • That said, in early weeks may require more office days for familiarisation and training.
