We are looking for enthusiastic Support Workers to provide care and support to those who access our day opportunities, promoting choice, inclusion, and independence at all times.

This is a permanent role working 30 hours per week over 5 days, Monday to Friday.

Working within Day Opportunities located at the Park View building in Solihull, including Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Older People and Dementia services.

As a Support Worker you will organise activities and deliver day opportunities which enables service users to make full use of their local community. Developing independence and promoting individual choice and social inclusion.

You will be part of an enthusiastic and motivated staff team, dedicated to providing emotional, social and personal support to individuals and groups.

This is a rewarding position for individuals who have a positive belief in their own ability to enrich the lives of others.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Completed QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care.Experience of working with people with a learning disability, physical disability, dementia, or older people.Demonstrable good practice which promotes choice, independence, and self-advocacy.The ability to adapt and respond to the constantly changing needs of a group of diverse people whilst demonstrating patience and understanding.The ability to demonstrate sensitivity whilst supporting individuals with their personal care needs.Experience of working effectively as a team member, and with colleagues/other professionals. In return, you will work as part of a small and friendly team, whilst making a difference to the lives of people living in Solihull. You will be supported by a committed team of co-workers, Day Service Co-ordinators and Managers.
