Youth Support Worker in Llandrindod Wells

We are looking for two community based Floating Support Worker for the Llandrindod Wells area.
What will you do?
- Complete assessment of support needs for young people experiencing homelessness.
- Carry out risk assessments.
- Get young people involved in agreeing and recording support needs.
- Ensure meaningful use of time for all parties.
- Co-ordinate support as the Key-Worker and youth support worker.
- Liaise with other support providers and partner organisations.
- Help young people get involved in volunteering, training, education and other activities.
- Provide tenancy support and advice.
- Travel the area to meet with young people living independently.
What will you get?
- 35 hour work week for full time.
- Permanent contract as a Youth Support Worker.
- 9.30am to 5pm - Monday to Friday.
- Salary of 22,800 per year - equivalent to 12.49 per hour (Pro-rata for part time).

What do we need?
- Someone with experience of working with young people with support needs.
- Knowledge of tenancy support.
- Experience of supporting with those who have experienced homelessness.
- Access to your own vehicle for travelling the area.
- A willingness to assist with the on-call rota.
- Good understanding of trauma informed practice and supporting those who have been through trauma.
- Someone with a caring, compassionate nature.
- Resilience in the face of a challenge.
- Someone who knows the Swansea area would be a big plus
