We are looking for an aspirational and progressive professional to join our senior team at West Suffolk Council to shape and lead our new housing, communities and regulatory directorate. As part of that leadership team, and working closely with councillors, you will be involved in a range of exciting projects and contribute to the delivery of the council's ambitions and its overall performance.

You will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering high quality services that enhance the lives of our residents. You will be responsible for leading and managing a diverse portfolio of essential services, including community development and safety, environmental health, wider health improvement, housing options, homelessness and housing strategy, and licensing, and enhancing key partnerships across the Suffolk system.

Experience in a senior leadership role, within a local government or public sector environment is important, as is the ability to be a strategic thinker who can translate vision into delivery and has a proven track record of driving innovation and positive outcomes. Working within a political environment together with the ability to engage effectively and forge strong relationships with colleagues, politicians, our communities, and key stakeholders and external partners in all sectors to make things happen is essential to the success of the role.
