Project: Mace has been appointed on a framework for a transport client. The successful Project Controls Manager will work on large-scale complex rail, road, bus or even propert related projects. Mace Consult will provide Project Controls / PMO services for the new build construction work of multiple secure sites throughout the UK.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting on small to medium sized projects, or as part of a team within a small project.
  • Accountable for gathering timely, relevant and reliable performance updates from delivery teams and ensuring that performance commentary provides succinct, actionable insight in support of delivery objectives
  • Mentoring and managing more junior members of staff to deliver specific requirements for the client.
  • Recommending continual improvements and potential future developments to client where appropriate and supporting recommendations with expert knowledge and experience.
  • Identifying potential business development opportunities within own client areas and make project controls directors and above aware of these leads / prospects.
  • Managing managers where required by the scale of the project.
  • Persuading and influencing colleagues.
  • Influencing clients to accept proposals and recommendations.
  • Satisfying customer requirements.
  • Tackling problems that do not have an obvious solution.
  • Selling the business and wins work.
  • Creating and delivering persuasive presentations to large audiences.

About you

You have achieved professional qualifications such as APM, MSP, PPC etc and have a relevant CSCS card. You have experience in data handling and extract, transformation load (ETL) processes and have experience in working with complex data sets. You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
