Project Scope:

We have been appointed to a complex, 10-15 year, multi £bn programme to redevelop a campus in the London / South East area.

We are the Delivery Partner, carrying out a similar role to CLM for the London 2012 Olympics, delivering design and construction of enabling, infrastructure and building projects in a live environment on a site of national importance maintaining logistics and operations with technical and construction partners.

Our client is looking to transform their campus and how they operate while maintaining a world-class science and research capability, retaining and developing specialist expertise, in a collaborative and health and safety conscious way.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the Planning/Project Controls Lead in the implementation and maintenance of the project controls processes.
  • Collate data, develop dashboard reports and review project progress and performance to provide timely and focused reporting of progress, including commentary on key drivers and performance indicators, to a defined reporting cycle.
  • Record and provide analysis on Lessons Learnt relating to project stage and using cost/schedule analysis to gain buy to implementing.
  • Direct, coordinate, and integrate project controls activities, including cost, schedule, risk and change management.
  • Validate the inputs to the monthly reporting process to ensure accuracy, liaising with colleagues and stakeholders as required
  • Draw conclusions from the monthly reporting process, collaborating with functions to provide analysis and recommendations on areas of focus and proactive interventions.
  • Lead on strategies where corrective action is required in relation to cost/schedule/risk to bring functions together to provide a cohesive output upon which decisions can be made by the relevant decision makers. Identify and communicate trends to support analysis.
  • Support and participate in performance reviews for assigned area of responsibility – understanding status and challenges to be able to provide a rounded and joined up assessment of performance backed by data.
  • Collaborate across the PMO to drive consistency and knowledge share.
  • Identify and raise improvement areas and themes and bring proposals to relevant forums.
  • Promote best practice Project Controls approach via engagement across Mace PMO (outside of direct area).

About you

You will have PMO / Project Controls work experience within the construction / infrastructure sector.

You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and manage the stakeholders. You have experience of working on large projects/programmes. You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace have to offer.
