Digital acceleration is one of the key areas for Costa to create competitive advantage for the future. Costa already has substantial know-how in Digital including the Costa Digital loyalty app with more than 6 million users in UK. This also provides access to deep consumer data and Retail/Coffee Shop dynamics know how. In parallel, we believe there are ample opportunities in creating more synergies with the KO Digital capabilities. KO System has a strong roadmap under Global Council governance which embodies scalable key initiatives to set the organization for future success. In this scheme, Europe, in particular, has a well-developed digital infrastructure and committed agenda to move forward Digital capabilities much faster.

Our objective is to partner much closer with KO System and Europe OU to drive:

Identification of potential synergies and developing a relevant roadmap to implement them faster.

Ensuring that Coffee is part of the relevant key Digital Council-led global initiatives.

Creating a collaborative and integrated community between Costa and KO System to work closer and drive synergies effectively.

Prioritized initiatives/ projects are as follows:

Consumer:

Short Term:

Introduction of the Lurisia brand in the UK to bring it into the Costa Club as a massive sampling initiative directed to our Club audience which can turbo-charge the trial of this new product and increase the attractiveness of the Club scheme in a unique 'KO' way.

Integration of Costa to Connected Pack (part of KO Global Digital Council)

Mid/Long Term:

Enhancement of consumer experience on our digital apps via integrated segmentation data, improved experience offers and cross campaign opportunities. Making Costa part of the Consumer Growth Platform work under Global Council

Customer (CCH & CCEP will be involved):

Short Term:

E-commerce (B2B&B2C) Step-up: Offline shelf to digital (connecting with E2E Commerce & Digital Streams under KO Digital Council)/ learnings integration on using food delivery (uber eats/Deliveroo) to build breakfast occasion. Expansion of CCH Eastern European markets learnings & assess how this could step change our digital commerce % of sales in these markets with Costa.

Mid/Long Term:

Loyalty app for AFH customers reflecting our success in Retail stores- bringing competitive edge to expand transactions and build brand in AFH.

Key Responsibilities:

As Global Coffee Digital Capabilities Acceleration Senior Director (STA), you will play a crucial role in our Coffee digital acceleration journey. In this STA, you will:

Lead the project teams to define the strategic ambition, KBIs and accelerated implementation roadmap for prioritized digital initiatives that require synergically driving complex tech solutions & cross functional / global inputs. Support Costa, KO System, Global, Europe OU teams to build AGILE project leadership in action to create an implementation roadmap for the defined consumer & customer digital initiatives faster. Develop a structured process to integrate the project teams (including Costa, Global, OU critical team liaisons) around prioritized initiatives with structured routines, reporting and timelines. Define seamless and on-going collaboration scheme for the digital project teams to establish an integrated future digital community. Constantly search for best practices and reach out to critical resources to support the Coffee Digital agenda

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study is required as a minimum.

Master's Degree or MBA or related field of study is desired.

Agile project leadership training & qualification [scrum master] is preferred.

Experience of complex cross functional project / team leadership is desired.

Expert knowledge of change management principles and capability building is preferred.

Any certification/professional training related to the role is considered an asset.

At least 10 years of experience in digital transformation or a related field, ideally within a leadership role.

8+ years working directly with Senior Leaders in transnational/global organizations.

Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated leadership abilities and strategic thinking.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong understanding of digital technologies and trends in context of business growth opportunity identification.
