Senior Manager, Business Planning

Summary
Reporting to VP, Head of Commercial & Strategy, this individual will be a key part of the Commercial & Strategy team across the Group. The role is focused on all Business Plan-related activities. The candidate will work internally with the various functions, including M&A, Finance, Treasury, Operations and Legal teams at Group, as well as with our countries of operation.
The Group relies on strong communication and the ability to build relationships quickly across our business. Interaction with senior leadership at Group and country operation level will be necessary and frequent. We are looking to recruit a skilled and professional individual to support business planning, decision-making, process improvement and to supervise junior staff within the Commercial & Strategy function to support analysis and decision-making that will determine the future shape and success of IHS.
Personal Profile
The successful individual will be adept at building relationships with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. In addition, the right candidate will also have strong analytical, numeracy and financial analysis skills in order to provide in-depth decision making support.
Responsibilities
Primary workstream: Group Business Plan and financial modelling activities Secondary workstream (depending on needs and resourcing): Commercial analysis and pricing decision support Lead, manage and co-ordinate the quarterly and annual business planning process Support the Treasury | Financing team by preparing financial models needed as part of various financing initiatives Review and analyse major investment projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness of business cases Scenario analysis and investment appraisals for both organic and inorganic opportunities Work closely with Group functions (M&A, Finance, Treasury, Operations, Legal) and country teams to source information, validate assumptions, and ensure alignmentResponsible for making improvements of processes / systems to simplify, standardize, and streamline processes, with a view to improve analysisDevelop relationships with key department heads across the GroupEffectively communicate potential impacts of financial performance to key stakeholdersSupport as required the M&A team with data and forecasts in our countries of operationResponsible for supervision and ongoing development of junior team members
