We will rely on you to:

  • Monitor changes to the business environment and operating results to identify potential process and control issues.
  • Support regional CSS team members in performing their existing controls and adopting new or revised controls.
  • Support the Mumbai CSS Global Control colleagues in executing control monitoring in the region.
  • Advising on the regional process and control environment.
  • Assisting in obtaining source documents for testing.
  • Interpreting and analysing results.
  • Communicating those results to regional colleagues and collaborate with them on remedial actions.
  • Monitoring and validating that remedial actions are complete.
  • Analyse operational issues as they arise to determine root cause and develop remedial actions. In addition, work with regional colleagues to validate that the remedial action was completed.
  • Collaborate with regional colleagues to drive policy governance so that policies and procedures are comprehensive, up to date, communicated and easily understood.
  • Coordinate the fulfilment of requests and queries for reviews external to CSS such as MMC Internal Audit or regulatory examiners.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Passion for continual improvement of self and the organisation.
  • High standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Comparable experience in risk management and internal controls in financial services (reinsurance experience preferred).
  • Previous experience working within a large and complex global organization is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the reinsurance or Insurance industry is preferred.
  • Solid, working knowledge of risk management and internal control concepts.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 products.
  • An analytical mind, capable of learning unfamiliar topics.
  • Excellent organisation and project management skills.
  • Clear articulation and communication/presentation skills, both written and verbal, especially for risk management and internal control related topics.

What makes you stand out:

  • Risk management and internal control experience with a reinsurer or reinsurance broker.
  • Solid, working knowledge of reinsurance regulations in the region.
  • Professional designations such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
