About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team at Hill Mcglynn Recruitment. The successful candidate will have a proven track record working with a tier one or regional main contractor, with significant experience working on school projects valued at £10,000,000 and above.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.
  • Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
  • Negotiate and procure subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Monitor and control project budgets and costs.
  • Provide regular reports on project progress, budgets, and forecasts.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector.
  • Proven experience working with tier one or regional main contractors.
  • Extensive experience working on school projects valued at £10,000,000 and above.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and legislation.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, cost management software).
