Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, United Kingdom Chadsgrove School & Specialist Sports College Full time

TA2 (5-6)

32.50 hours p/w - 9.15am - 4.15pm, Monday - Friday

START DATE: 2nd SEPTEMBER 2024

Chadsgrove Educational Trust Specialist College is a further education provision for students aged 19-25 whose special educational needs arise from their physical disabilities and/or complex medical needs. In addition there may be some who have profound and multiple learning difficulties, whilst others have sensory impairments and/or communication difficulties.

From September 2024 we will have 13 students on roll with 8 Learning Support Assistants (LSAs). The roles of the LSAs are varied but consist of supporting teaching activities and assisting with the changing and personal care requirements of some of our students. We are looking to recruit an additional LSA to complement our outstanding team.

The work of an LSA often involves manual handling of students, candidates therefore need to be physically fit and capable of working co-operatively within a multi-disciplinary team. It is essential that candidates are ambitious for our learners, adaptable with a good sense of humour and have an ability to empathise and work positively with the students' individual needs.

Previous experience of working with adults with a physical disability would be an advantage but it is not essential, as a bespoke, robust training package will be provided. It is essential that you are willing to be trained to administer medication if necessary.

Chadsgrove College is committed to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of young adults. All candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, online checks and satisfactory references.

Further details and an application form are available by:

- emailing

Interviews will be held on: Monday 10th June 2024
